Introducing Paul Knight
&
Green Street Habitats
I’ve retired from tree surgery and my son Rob is doing a great job running Paul Knight Tree Services.
I used to say my job was to encourage people and trees to live together.
I’ve been a charcoal burner, designed and installed ponds and other hard landscapes.
I grew up in Chawton, spending the first half of my life there and the second half in Oakhanger and Whitehill. Both areas are increasing in population quickly.
It is well-known that wild life is suffering and I can feel it, so my next project is to encourage people and critters to live together by creating habitats in as many gardens as we can, using material that is by-product of tree work.
The upshot is that with help from Susan, my partner for thirty years and more, I am introducing Green Street Habitats.
Sharing two square metres of your garden with wood, rocks, water, plants, bug hotels and a hedgehog house – all looking good – will make a huge difference.
And it will get better over the time.
The circle of life can literally start in your garden with the grubs and insects secretly growing in a Green Street Habitat.
